I just had an interesting exprience with FabricMartFabrics.com. or at least someone who I thought was FabricMart Fabrics. I called just before 8:00 CST this morning to cancel an order I had placed last night. I slept on it and decided I didn't want it. The lady who answered said she would cancel it. I don't recall if she identified herself as FabricMart Fabrics when I called, but something about her voice tone just didn't seem right. I kept waiting for an email to indicate my order was cancelled but never received one. I am not the most patient person, so I called again 2 hrs later and a different, much more professional-sounding woman answered the phone. She told me that they had not received a cancellation call from me earlier and I kept insisting that they did. I heard a lady in the background saying that they had not received a cancellation call. Anyway, the lady I talked to was very nice and professional and she cancelled my order. She also sent me an immediate e-mail saying it was cancelled. The more I think about it, the more I wonder if I dialed a wrong number and woke up some poor, unsuspecting woman who didn't have to go to work this morning. Maybe she just pretended to be from Fabric Mart Fabrics because she was angry for being woken up? My sister and brother-in-law's phone number used to be very close to that of a local restaurant that served a lunch buffet. They received numerous calls wanting to know what was on the menu to the point that my brother-in-law got so tired of it that he just made up something one day that could be on this restaurant's menu. Anway, I am a little embarrassed. I am almost positive that is what happened because I have always had very positive experiences with FabricMartFabrics.com. Be careful when you are punching those phone numbers in.

Oh how funny!!! Perhaps you just got someone with a weird sense of humor who played along to pretend to be from Fabric Mart!!
I just think it's cute that she played along! Maybe she gets wrong numbers for FabricmartFabrics all the time!! LOL!!
LOL! Been there, done that. It's always embarrassing, but completely understandable. I'm with Vanessa in wondering if the lady gets those calls frequently.
Ha. That is absolutely hilarious.
