Valentino Shoe Look-a-Like

Readers, are you ready for another shoe post?  I love to surf the internet looking at shoes and came across this adorable Valentino Bow Jelly Thong Sandal.  Since I have been watching "What Not To Wear", I have learned to talk about shoes and pants in the singular.  It is a "sandal" or a "pant".  Whatever...  I didn't even have to look at the price because the name brand told me they would be waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy out of my budget.  They retail for $275 at Neiman Marcus.

They come in several other colors such as red, pink and black, but I like the nude color the best.  Well, I came across a very similar look by BCBGeneration called the "Davie" Flip Flop. They are available on Amazon and Dillards and some other places I have never heard of for a much lower price of $40.  Now, $40 is still a bit steep to me to spend on a sandal, but compared to the Valentino version, it is not too bad.  This sandal also comes in several colors, also.

I just wanted to share my latest find.

     On the sewing front, I am working on a skirt.  It is a bit time consuming so I hope to have it finished by this weekend, but that may not happen.  I hope everyone has a great last week of February.
